Every fire device
registered once,
and never lost again

Extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers, detectors, alarm panels, fire doors and pumps — each with its category, capacity, exact location, dates and photographs, on one register. The library ships with 450+ devices across 24 categories, so most of your register exists before you start typing.

How it works

From an empty database to a
tagged, scannable register

Most implementations start from a spreadsheet you already keep. It is imported, checked area by area, and tagged — usually one building at a time.

Pick your categories
Start from the 450+ device library and switch on the 24 categories your building actually has
Import what you have
Your existing device list in Excel is imported rather than retyped, with columns mapped once
Locate every device
Each device gets a location down to site, building, floor and area — not just a block name
Print and fix the tags
A barcode or QR tag per device, printed in sheets and fixed to the unit or its mounting
Verify on the first round
The first audit round doubles as the verification pass — scan, confirm, photograph

Everything the fire device master holds

450+ inbuilt fire devices

A ready library across 24 categories — extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers, pumps, detectors, call points, panels, doors, lighting, signage and more.

Location to the area

Site, building, floor and area against every device, so a finding points at a place someone can walk to rather than a general block.

Specification fields

Category, make, model, capacity, serial number and commissioning date, with the fields that differ by device type.

Barcode & QR tag printing

Print tags in sheets, fix them to the device, and scan with a phone camera — no dedicated scanner hardware to buy.

Refill & hydrotest dates

Annual refill and five-yearly hydrostatic test dates held per device, with alerts raised before the date rather than after.

Inspection frequency per category

Each category carries its own cycle — monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual — and the plan is generated from it.

Complete device history

Every check, every finding, every corrective action and every certificate, in one chronological record per device.

Custom categories & fields

Add device types the library does not cover, with your own check points and your own specification fields.

Excel import and export

Bring the register in from Excel and take any view back out to Excel, Word or PDF whenever it is asked for.

Why a register, not a list

A spreadsheet device list vs. the Fast Fire Audit register

A list tells you what you bought. A register tells you what condition it is in, who last looked at it and what is due next.

Fire Device Master FAQs

How many fire devices does the inbuilt library cover?

The library ships with more than 450 fire devices across 24 categories, covering the equipment Indian buildings actually run: extinguishers by type and capacity, hydrants and landing valves, hose reels, sprinkler systems, fire and jockey pumps, smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, alarm panels, sounders and public address, fire doors and shutters, emergency and exit lighting, escape route signage, fire water tanks, wet and dry risers, foam systems, gas suppression, fire dampers, smoke vents, fire blankets, sand buckets, lightning protection, breathing apparatus and fire PPE. You can add your own categories on top.

Can we import our existing device list instead of retyping it?

Yes. Most implementations start from a spreadsheet the safety team already keeps. Columns are mapped once and the list is imported into the register, then verified area by area during the first audit round. Any view of the register can also be exported back to Excel, Word or PDF.

Do we need special scanner hardware for the tags?

No. Tags are printed as barcodes or QR codes on ordinary label stock and read with the camera on any modern phone or tablet. NFC stickers are supported as an alternative where a device sits somewhere a camera struggles, but they are optional, not required.

How precise is the location held against a device?

Location is held to four levels: site, building, floor and area. That matters because a finding raised against a device has to point at a place someone can walk to. "Extinguisher in Block B" is not actionable when Block B has forty of them.

What happens to a device that is taken out of service?

It stays on the register with its status changed, so its history is not lost. If a standby unit is placed while it is away, that placement is recorded against the area, which is how you show an inspector that cover was maintained rather than simply that a unit was missing.

Can different device categories have different inspection frequencies?

Yes, and they usually must. Extinguishers, hydrants, detectors and emergency lighting are typically held to different cycles, and your fire authority or insurer may impose more. Frequency is configured per category, and the audit plan is generated from it.
